Further madness and fitness story ! Stalwart (and ageing) Lawless XV RFC player Stu Parker is trying to re-kindle his youth as a champion swimmer by competing in a one mile open water race across Lake Windermere in aid of Fatboys. He will be competing against the likes of Phil Mitchell from Eastenders (nobody knows his real name.....typecasting issue there I think) and Dr.Hilary Jones. This is one that I don't mind acting as support crew for as it entails firing up the outboard whilst trying not to spill my pint and sitting back in the speedboat. HELPING ST.NICHOLAS SCHOOL

Fatboys has donated a significant sum of money to St.Nicholas School in Chippenham. This is to assist in the purchase of a Hydrotherapy pool to help children who suffer with many different severa and complex illnesses, some of them terminal. The school is desperate to raise funds for this pool and any help is appreciated. fatboys recognises the value of the facility and the large number of children suffering illness who would benefit from this. FATBOYS HELPS HELEN HOUSE

Fatboys has purchased music and storage equipment for Helen House in Oxfordshire which provides respite and end of life care for children and young adults with life-shortening conditions. We have supported Helen House many times over the years and this will continue as long as we exist because the care they can provide in difficult times for children and families is outstanding and worthy of our support.
