The Lawless play at Our Fundraiser

For the past 9 years, there has been an annual ‘Day of Lawlessness’. This is the main fund raiser for the charity, and takes the form of a day full of three things that were very close to the heart of Mike ‘Fatboy’ Lawless..RUGBY…. BEER…and …MUSIC!!

There is an annual rugby match for the ‘Fatboy Shield’ between Wiltshire Police RFC and the Lawless XV made up of friends and family of Mike. Following the first three years ending in a draw (both teams were trying to win…honest!!), the Police team finally became the first team to win it outright in 2004, beating the Lawless XV by 26 – 19pts, despite a fiercely competitive match and the odd fight!!

The 2008 rugby match was won 53-15 by the Police team but the Lawless XV have vowed to return stronger next year.

The evening function which follows, features a live performance by ‘The Lawless’ in what has become their annual gig!! They feature a couple of members of Mike’s band ‘Animal House’, and were only to pleased to come together annually to raise money for the charity. As well as Live Music, there is beer, food, and a grand auction of prizes kindly donated by local businesses, Premiership Rugby Clubs, and tradesmen.
