Fatboys Cancer Charity

We are a small charity that aims to help children who are suffering from cancer or some other life threatening illness. We also make charitable donations to other charities working in a similar field to ours.

This website gives information on how we came into being, what we do and how we do it. You will also be able to find out about how you help us to achieve our aims.

If you would like more information, or you know somebody who might benefit from our work, please do not hesitate to Contact Us.

2011 Day of Lawlessness

The 12th Annual Day of Lawlessness, our main fundraiser, takes place on Wednesday 2nd March 2011. The Annual Rugby Match returns to Swindon Rugby Club with a kick off at about 2.00 pm. This will be followed by a great evening of entertainment at 12 Bar, Swindon. Once again, there will be a host of good rock music with local band Breeze offering up their delights. Thank you to them for donating their time to helping the charity. Support acts are still to be finally verified but The Lawless will be playing! This year we are aware of the recession and have cut down the size of the auction but there are still some fantastic prizes to bid on. There will also be a raffle with lots of prizes and Fatboys Charity merchandise will be on sale on the night. Ticket prices have been pegged at just £5.00 for this great evening of entertainment so get in touch via the website if you don't want to miss out!!

A BIG thanks to all our supporters

Having mentioned our supporters briefly in the previous section of this page, we really would like to say A huge Thank You to EVERYONE who gets involved in helping us each year. Many people do lots of things for this charity, some quite big things but many quite small things and everything is greatly appreciated. The trustees work hard to identify the most deserving causes each year and the more we raise, the more children we can help. So, if you have an idea for some fundraising, whether it be large or small, please get in touch with us so we can help you to help us. Simply, Thanks.

Madness of the Moose

In June this year James 'Moose' Bicknell, by reason of insanity, will be traversing the Irish Sea in a Kayak. Why? Only he knows that, but he hopes to raise £2500 for Fatboys. Please help him to reach his goal by visiting his webpage at justgiving.com/jamesbicknell. We wish him well and can only wonder if he's never heard of the phrase 'Outboard motor ....but who are we to stick our oar in...........?!
